Anita Murphy Williams grew up in Southern New Jersey and moved to Central Pennsylvania in 1984. While working secretarial jobs and raising two small children, Ms. Williams returned to school to study art. She began her studies at HACC. She graduated from Millersville University with a B.S. in Art Education in 2003. While at Millersville, she studied painting with Robert Andriulli. Anita began teaching Art at Spring Grove Area High School in York County in 2004.
Anita continued graduate studies at Millersville with a focus on painting. She was invited to exhibit as a resident Artist at the Red Raven Art Company in Lancaster during 2007 and 2008. She was a featured artist in October 2oo7 and March 2008. Her work has been selected in several juried shows in York including the Yorkfest, York Art Association Annual Juried Exhibition and Small Works.
